They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and that certainly is true with The Bag Daddy. Some years ago we purchased a house in the city, a house on a large lot. The lot contained a dozen or so large trees. These trees produced lovely shade in the summer and a gazillion leaves in the fall.

Tired of raking, we bought a lawn vacuum which mulched the leaves into a 3-bushel collection bag. That’s when a problem arose. It was nearly impossible to dump that large collection bag into the narrow-mouthed yard-waste bags required by the city for curbside pick up. We needed a funnel!

Ingenuity provided the design, the large box in which the lawn vacuum had been shipped provided the material, and the Bag Daddy was born! The prototype, shown here, worked great! We tweaked the design, made more prototypes and loaned them to friends and neighbors to try out. They all wanted to buy one! The Bag Daddy worked so well, in fact, that we decided to patent it. And now you can have one too!
